With the increasing volume of customers walking through the doors of Kuni Westside Infiniti, it certainly seems that more and more Americans are falling in love with the lineup of new Infiniti models. Perhaps that is why the brand is considering a big move in production. With all Infiniti vehicles currently being produced in Japan, and more and more consumers in the U.S. turning to our products, the costs of moving inventory across the Pacific is only going to rise.
According to Infiniti Official, Johan de Nysschen, the brand is considering about opening a standalone production facility somewhere in North America. For us, that means we will be closer to the source of vehicles like the Infiniti Q50 and hopefully we might see a decrease in sticker price as the costs of transportation go down across the board.
If this project gets the go-ahead, it would likely begin construction of the plant by 2017. Early estimates say that this new factory would be able to produce up to 100,000 vehicles annually and would create more than 2,000 new jobs in the area it is erected.
This is a developing story so details are relitavely sparse at the moment. You can be sure to get all your updates on this project by following our blog.
